About Us

Lizzie assumed the role of Managing Director amidst the global lockdown in 2020 and has seamlessly led our organization ever since. In her capacity, Lizzie oversees the Management & Charter facets of our business, demonstrating an exceptional aptitude for working collaboratively with owners and crews. Her responsibilities extend to meticulous calendar organization, charter coordination, and personally addressing charter inquiries. Lizzie is adept at curating bespoke cruising experiences, ensuring each client receives an unparalleled and tailor-made holiday.

With a maritime background that spans over 150,000 nautical miles, Lizzie’s passion for sailing has been ingrained since a young age, nurtured by her upbringing by the sea in Southend, Essex. Collaborating closely with Matt for two decades, she brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the industry to her current role.

Prior to embarking on her distinguished marine career, Lizzie pursued a comprehensive education in Tourism & Business at Bournemouth University. Her professional journey also includes several years at Camp America, where she honed her skills in their London office. Lizzie’s dynamic blend of academic acumen, extensive sailing experience, and a proven track record in business and tourism positions her as a pivotal force in steering our organisation towards continued success.

In December 2024, Lizzie was elected by voting members to the board of the Central Yacht Broker’s Association (CYBA), currently one of only two board members based in Europe she will be working with other elected board members to continue to make improvements and maintain professionalism in the industry. She is already an eco broker and is instrumental in judging and organising the designer water competitions which take place at numerous charter shows throughout the year. This is an incentive to encourage guests to drink water made from desalinated water that has been filtered on board and flavoured with local fruits, herbs and spices for interest. Matt founded/created diYachting into the company she has become, starting when it was Racing Yacht Charters in 1999 and through its evolution into a Management and Charter Company. He moved over to our sister company S6 Marine, in 2020,  which is dedicated to Yacht Sales. He is still a valued consultant to the diY team and will still be able to be there from the start of your yacht purchase journey, guiding you along the way helping you get the most from your yacht, then passing you over to us for Management &/or Charter Management. Matt is a qualified captain with an RYA Commercial Yachtmaster Ocean Instructor certificate. He has sailed over 200,000 nautical miles in over 30 years of sailing. During this time Matt has skippered 12 ARC transatlantics, 5 Fastnet races and hasten trophies at over 30 prestigious regattas. Aside from being a professional sailor Matt also has a degree in Law and in a previous life worked in Banking and Life Assurance.

Freya joined the company in March 2018 and is responsible for 99% of the administration behind Yacht Management. Freya deals with yacht registration, crew administration, crew employment, marinas and port bookings, liaising with owners and the yacht expenses, reporting to owners each month with their profit & loss accounts. Freya keeps the office a well oiled machine. Freya was a P.A. for thirteen people before joining us, so is well-equipped to handle the variation in her tasks.

Pippa started working for diYachting in May 2023 however her relationship with diYachting goes back to the beginning of her yachting career in 2016 when a guest on her first boat introduced us. We kept in touch supporting Pippa with yachting opportunities until she moved ashore and worked as a Chef/ House Manager in private houses. After having her first child Pippa realised she missed yachting and wanted to become involved in management which she could do alongside her Masters in Nutritional Science and Personalised Nutrition.
Pippa has a strong customer service background, combined with her knowledge of the industry and yachting destinations she is well equipped for itinerary planning and charter recommendations.

In her spare time she enjoys reading, yoga and exploring new places with her family.

Julia is the newest member of the diYachting team, bringing over a decade of experience in management of luxury multihulls.

Her adventure in the yachting industry started back in 2014 when Julia joined Sunreef Yachts Charter. She soon discovered that managing a multitude of yacht management related tasks on an everyday basis; be it: yacht registration, insurance, crew management, accounts or operational support; brings her a lot of satisfaction. Setting course towards gaining professional skills and qualifications, she obtained a diploma in Superyacht Management.

Over the years, Julia has successfully managed yachts with different ownership structures and flags, various itineraries and operational plans; and, most importantly, maintained long term relations with yacht owners, crews and a vast network of industry professionals.

In her free time, Julia enjoys a fun day out with her family and a relaxing evening with a good book.

Louise began at diYachting resizing yacht photos for the website, sorting itineraries for the team and keeping track of yacht listings. She enjoyed this for two years, and then in 2020, she took the reins of our crew recruitment department, advertising our jobs, interviewing crew from all over the world and liaising with Yacht owners.

During her teenage years, Louise was a sea cadet and has lived her life by the seaside, so you could say the sea is in her blood. She has a degree in Photography and worked hard in the property Industry for many years until she had her three sons.

What sets Louise apart, aside from her can do attitude and expertise, is her incredibly personable and friendly nature. She brings a warmth to the team that makes working with her an absolute pleasure.

Not just an office dog, Matt & Lizzie’s French Bulldog, Mimi is the one that keeps everyone smiling when the days are long, she welcomes all visitors to the office with lots of kisses but don’t expect her to share her treats!
