The MYBA Charter Show San Remo is always a highlight of the Mediterranean yachting calendar—and this year certainly didn’t disappoint.
Lucky You was one of 87 exceptional yachts in attendance, part of an impressive fleet with a combined length of 3,279 metres and a total gross tonnage of 33,251. With 801 brokers representing charter companies from across the globe, the energy, competition, and level of presentation were exactly what you’d expect at this level.
For Captain Nathan, Chef Alina, and Deck/Stew Dario, this marked their first charter show—and it’s safe to say it delivered. The team brought enthusiasm, precision, and a genuine sense of pride in the yacht, which translated into a fantastic experience for everyone who stepped onboard.
Representing Lucky You is always a pleasure. She is beautifully maintained, but more importantly, there’s a clear mindset onboard: constant improvement. The owners and crew are always asking how they can elevate the experience, refine the details, and stand apart in a competitive market. Their ambition is clear—to be the most luxurious catamaran in their size range in the Mediterranean—and they are well on their way.
A Taste of Lucky You
Day two of the show saw Lucky You host an intimate lunch for eight brokers, showcasing the calibre of onboard dining.
Guests were welcomed with yellowfin tuna crudo, paired with avocado, citrus dressing, chives, and micro fennel—fresh, elegant, and beautifully balanced.
The main course featured line-caught John Dory, served with parsnip purée, blood orange and fennel salad, and a delicate citrus sauce. A dish that perfectly combined refinement with vibrant flavour.
Dessert was a lemon crémeux with citrus, olive oil, and a fine crumble—light, textured, and a flawless finish.
All courses were paired with a thoughtful selection of wines, including the house “Lucky You” Blanc de Blancs, Minuty Rosé, and Cantina Tramin Sauvignon Blanc.
Later in the week, a more relaxed and social broker lunch welcomed 12 guests onboard, offering a vibrant and informal menu designed for sharing:
* Grilled seabass tacos with citrus-marinated fish, shaved fennel, lemon yoghurt, and soft herbs
* Spiced chicken skewers with paprika, cumin, lemon, and fresh herbs
* Halloumi and vegetable skewers with courgettes and peppers
* Citrus herb quinoa salad
* Heritage tomato salad
* Marinated olives and warm focaccia
A perfect balance of flavour, freshness, and easy dining—ideal for the atmosphere of the show.
A Successful Show All Round
As the traditional 5pm horn sounded across the marina, marking the close of the show, it was clear that Lucky You had enjoyed a hugely successful few days.
More than just a showcase, the event proved to be a valuable team-building experience, bringing together crew, owners, and brokers in a way that strengthens relationships and sets the tone for the season ahead.
CYBA Designer Water Contest
Alongside the show, I also organised the CYBA Designer Water Contest with the CYBA Environment Committee.
With 15 entries, the competition focused on promoting the use of onboard water filtration systems as a sustainable alternative to plastic bottled water. This year’s theme—flowers—inspired a creative and visually striking range of entries.
Brokers were invited to vote online, and it was fantastic to see such strong engagement across the show.
The winners were:
* 1st Place: Explora
* 2nd Place: Alisei
* 3rd Place: Forza Quieta
An initiative that continues to highlight how sustainability and creativity can go hand in hand within the yachting industry.
Chef’s Competion
The theme this year was “A Flower Feast for Breakfast” and our talented chefs were tasked with preparing 3 dishes (sweet and/or savoury) that they would serve for breakfast on 3 different days of a charter. And use flowers as the theme for their creations & presentation.
Not an easy task at all and as Andrew Durham, 1st place winner in the 50m and above category, explained in a recent BOAT International interview: “When I read the brief for the first time I was caught off guard – it was such an unusual brief! First of all, you’d never normally see breakfast dishes in a competition. And then on top of that, it had to have a flower theme…”

One of the truly fun aspects of the MYBA Charter Show. Keeping guests entertained when the weather has turned, and movements are restricted, is always a challenge but the participating deck crew brought their A game and made it look easy.
